Filling Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs grass fed ground meat
  • 1 tbsp bacon fat
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1/4c 100% cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz can of jalapeno salsa

Instructions

  1. Heat bacon fat in large pan over medium heat and sautee onions and garlic until tender
  2. Add ground beef and cook until most of the meat is brown
  3. Add meat, garlic and onions to crock pot, then add in the rest of the ingredients
  4. Stir and let sit on low for 4-6 hours
