AM -- woke at 5:50 AM eastern time // total of about 5.5 hours // not enough

PM -- fell asleep in my daughters bed around 9:30 PM // exhausted 


morning -- small avocado // 3 tbsp MCT oil in hotel coffee (yuck)

that's all I had until the airport in Atlanta at around 3:20 and I ran 13.1 miles this morning

3:20 -- two Michelob Ultras and a grilled chicken salad at airport

8:30 PM -- sausage/brisket // ton of salad // raw Swiss cheese 

snack -- carob cubes, carob raisins, frozen fruit, cashew/coconut flake/cacao nib mix, half of an 85% dark chocolate bar

didn't track today b/c it was Sunday and b/c I ran for nearly 2.5 hours


walked to race site and stretched

ran 13.1 miles in 2:24 (11 minute/mile pace). I haven't run more than 2 miles in a year so I was pretty happy about this. Going to be sore tomorrow. My legs feel like I just ran a full marathon with extensive training. Hardly broke a sweat during run. Kept it really low exertion. Had lots of fun.

  • John ran the full in 3:10:22 -- he's fast. 
  • Dinner with the family tonight.
  • Bought my family gifts in Atlanta.
