My wife takes the time and effort to hang up the pics of all my races. She's gotten backed up on doing them and hung about a year's worth this morning. I realized something while she was doing it. And this could be one of the main reasons why I'm having to take significant time off:
Hammer Down Duathlon (4 miles of running, 10 miles biking)
Ironman Texas (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run)
Tour de Gap (52 mile bike)
Benbrook Sprint Tri (750m swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run)
Stonebridge Sprint Tri
US Open Olympic Triathlon (1500m swim, 25 mile bike, 6.2 mile run)
1/2 Marathon (sub 1:30)
Austin 70.3 (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run)
Dallas Marathon (26.2 mile run)
Hammer Down Duathlon
In 12 months, 11 races, 460+ miles of racing, average of about 42 miles per race.
By far the most I've ever done in a year span. I still feel like a big wus -- but this is pretty interesting.
