Sustained Fat Mobilization -- Day 31

I was in bed asleep by 10 PM last night. I awoke at 12:20 AM this morning by the shrill cry of my daughter. I ran in to her dark room, asked her what was wrong and inhaled. Before she could answer I knew by the smell. Vomit.

Long story short -- I ended up laying on her floor while she vomited like clockwork every 10 minutes from 12:20 AM until 5:20 AM. Poor little thing...she's a trooper.

I took ketones at 8 AM and they were 1.5 but that's a total trash number because I had gotten about 2 hours of sleep at that point. Didn't even take glucose 1) didn't care and 2) was too stinkin' tired.

Got up around 10:30 AM and made coffee with MCT and EVCO.

Felt the sickness coming on around 12:30 PM -- it hit me, but I was able to shake it off pretty quick. One round of "sickness" then I laid down and slept until 4:30 PM. When I woke up I felt fine.

5:30 PM: glucose -- 76 ml/dL

8:30 PM: glucose -- 99 ml/dL, I thought the 76 was a little high for 5:30. If it's high before dinner, it's usually a little too high after dinner. My normal dinners typically make blood sugar rise about 20 matter where it starts from. Ideally it's 60-80. If it's higher than that, I know my morning readings will be a little off, too.


skipped scheduled training sessions -- CF WOD and a long interval swim -- it happens. Not going to try and make it up, just writing this one off. 


breakfast -- coffee with MCT and EVCO

dinner -- 2 cans of wild caught sardines, 6 oz raw cheese, 50g mushrooms, steamed broccoli, 1 small avocado, 1 tbsp EVOO, 4 tbsp sour cream, bone broth and bouillon

snack -- EVCO

14 protein blocks and less than 20g carbs
