Deciding to either get healthy or learn more about getting healthy can be pretty overwhelming. Hopefully this page will start you on the right track. If you have any questions or suggestions or concerns please don't hesitate to email me via the contact page at ANY TIME.
If you're interested in learning more about my approach and the Simply Human Lifestyle -- read this article about what exactly the Simply Human Lifestyle (SHL) is all about.
The home page of this website is the Simply Human -- Daily which is basically how I try to be human every day -- Eat, Sleep, Move and Enjoy sections are included in each day and all are equally important to overall health.
Then there's the Simply Human Kids page which is a paper trail of how I try to get my kids to be more human every day as well.
Food 4 Thought are articles that I've written about various subjects that might be worth reading. Then I have the recipes/restaurants page, the About Me, my Endorsements and Contact -- pretty standard stuff.
Your next questions may be, "so what do I do first in trying to implement changes that are going to make me more human?" Good question.
First of all -- it is a big step to make that decision. In fact, you can't make healthy changes in your life unless you decide you're going to do it. It will take some effort at first, but then you'll find an auto-pilot mode and life will be simple and you'll feel great.
In my opinion -- there isn't a first step. For instance, I don't recommend eating healthy first, then working on sleep, then working on moving. I believe they are all connected and what you do first just depends on the time of day you decide to make changes. If it's in the morning of the following day, you'll probably start with Eat. If it's during the evening, you may start with Sleep. If it's while you're standing in line to ride a roller coaster, it will more than likely be Enjoy.
Hope that makes sense. The point is -- don't worry about what the first step is. Don't over-think it. Just do it. Fight against the people in your life and the internal voices in your head that try to talk you out of making systemic change in your life that will allow you to take back control of your health and wellness and LIFE.
There are too many people out there that are hamstrung by not feeling good or not being able to do things physically -- who aren't able to enjoy their life to their fullest capacity. I want to help people get the most out of life. I believe all humans are entitled to an extraordinary life and too many are not tapping in to the full human potential which can be reached by following the Simply Human Lifestyle.
Please, please, please email me with any questions you may have about how to get yourself or your family healthy. I don't have all the answers and anyone that claims to is lying. The key to health is experimenting and finding out how your body functions at its peak. Baseline stuff is pretty standard -- get good sleep, eat human food, move like a human, etc...but there is some wiggle room within each of the pillars to fit every individual.
